Wow...  this past week has been very busy....  A lot of really cool stuff with my daughter!!!!  And, while in town hit a couple of concerts...

On April 19 - we went to see Jamal Mohamed and his world music ensemble at the SMU arts building....  Crazy good...  Musics from all over the world...  I had the pleasure of being recorded in a live improvisational setting for the NPR affiliate in Dallas back in 1990 with Jamal.  I brought in my electric guitar, he brought in some neato world percussion, and we improved... A great time!!!!  Craig Shropshire - who had the best radio show on earth back in the day - organized the improv...  It was great watching Jamal's talent 25 years later...!!!!   He is truly amazing...

THEN...

Wednesday night, I went with my wife (her birthday present to me) to Doug Pinnick of King's X...  King's X has been one of my favorite bands for decades...  They started off as a Christian heavy rock band before it was cool... They still retain positive messages and massive sound to this day...  Love the band...  My wife hung out basically on stage through the show while I caught the massive sound in the middle of the venue...  Both early day Galactic Cowboy guitarists were at the helm with the assault...!!!  It was a full sound as you would expect...  Doug ("Dug") was a down to earth, fun, and a great person as he was the first time I met him 26 years ago...  And, he is the best conditioned 65 year old on earth....  I feel like a butter pat when I see the guy...

Robert Rich concert...

Well....  I have a few bucket list concerts of many old "heroes" from the past/present --- and, saw one April 5th in Dallas.   Robert Rich was absolutely mind-blowing...  Now, it is not like I had just stumbled in by accident... I've been listening to this guy for 25 years and have ALL of his recordings - and I mean ALL...  I had the pleasure of hanging with him before and after the show, and as expected, he is a true gentleman...  His influence on certain elements of my music is overt.  I have always freaked over his sleep concert music, use of micro tonalities, the textures, the rhythms etc...  So, seeing it in the front row was a treat!!!  I simply have not experienced that amount of harmonic bliss in a live show ever...  Amazing....  Jaw dropping...

And at the concert -- small world -- bumped into a fellow sound traveler I used to make music/noise with almost 30 years ago.  Roger Irwin - guitarist and artist extraordinaire.  We promised each other we will make noise again in the very near future...  !

Back catalog...

My back catalog is now added in iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, etc. etc.    Some of my more obscure stuff from the past is now available...  It is from the early 2000's and was big on the mp3.com site...   Also, the recording "Isbre" will be available in the United States soon.  My Swedish distributor somehow eliminated from the U.S. - but that is being fixed...
